A user can assign another user when he’s expecting an action from him.

The assignee will then receive a notification (which can be a bell notification or an email according to his preferences).

The users can also assign themselves in order to identify easily the posts on which they still have to work.

Assigning a post

You can assign a post to a user:

  • before publishing it,

  • after publishing it.

Before publishing it

You can assign a post when writing its draft. To do so, select the Assignments tab located on the left of the publishing options. Then click on the + button linked to the Assign to mention.

Only the recipients of a post can be assigned to it. If a user is assigned to a post of which he isn’t a recipient, the assignment won’t be generated. All recipients can assign or unassign users.

After publishing it

When users have been assigned to a post, their profile picture appears on it.

It’s possible to unassign a user from this view. To do so, click on the Unassign user mention that appears once the profile has been selected : the user won’t receive any notification if unassigned.

Assigning an item of the checklist

You can assign an action of the checklist:

  • before publishing it,

  • after publishing it.

Before publishing

You can assign users to the items of a checklist. To do so, select the icon located on the right of the post.

After publishing

Once the post is published, you can still assign a user to an item of the checklist by selecting the icon on the right side of the post.

Find the assignments

It’s possible to find the posts and items to which a user has been assigned.

Find your assignments

When you want to find all the posts and items you’ve been assigned to, select the Assigned to me tab, located on the right side of the news feed.

Find a user’s assignments

If you want to find all the posts and items that have been assigned to a user, select the assignee: mention of the news feed search bar and enter the user name.

With the list view of the news feed, a small icon helps the users identify the posts with assignments.

Set up the notifications

Each user can decide to receive or not an email notification for each of his assignments. To do so, go to the User profile and preferences tab and select Notifications. You can now activate or not the mail notifications.

To generate bell notifications, activate the notifications for all new activities (post and comments).
