Add Matomo to your Talkspirit platform

Matomo is the alternative to Google Analytics allowing you to precisely monitor the activity of your platform while protecting your data thanks to its GDPR compliance. Matomo is recommended by the CNIL as a substitute for Google Analytics.

In this article, we will see how to create and link your Matomo account to your Talkspirit platform.

Link Matomo to your Talkspirit platform

  1. Create your Matomo account.

If you do not yet have a Matomo account, we invite you to create one for free first.

To do this, go to the Matomo website and start a free trial:https://fr.matomo.org/start-free-analytics-trial/

You will need to provide:

Then click Start to continue creating your account. An invitation email will be sent to you to finalize your registration.

Once your registration has been validated, all you have to do is link your platform to Matomo.

2. Link your platform to Matomo

You have just created your account on Matomo, you can now link your Talkspirit platform.

To do that :

  • Click on the Integrations tab

  • Copy the URL given by Matomo and your site ID.

  • Go to the administration, tab Statistics of your platform

  • Copy the Matomo's URL previously copied in the Matomo link section, fill in the ID of your site and click on Register.

Congratulations ! Your platform is linked to Matomo and the latter begins to analyze the activity of your platform!

Go back to Matomo and start discovering the tracking interface.

💡 The first information may take a few minutes to appear. Matomo does not analyze your platform's past activity, but starts its analysis from the link to your platform.
