The Homepage application adds an Intranet Portal type entry page to your platform.

It consists of news and headline events (independent from groups or the news feed), as well as a list of referring members.

Only an administrator can activate this application and appoint managers.

Once the homepage has been activated by an administrator, only managers can access it until they choose to make it visible.

Add, modify, publish and delete content

Publish a presentation of your company or project

Only the managers of the homepage are allowed to write and edit its content.

To publish a presentation, select the + icon in the upper right-hand corner of the module.

You will then need to fill in a title for your presentation, a description, possibly an url and its title.

You can then choose to associate an image to the post. We recommend that you associate an image of 1040x480px.

You can then choose among the users of your platform who's the author of the publication.

You will also be able to choose who will be able to view this content.

Then choose the status you wish to give to your publication. If you do not wish to publish the information instantly, simply select the Draft tab and click on Add Draft.

To publish, select Publish for the publication status and select Publish.

You can edit your post or delete it by selecting the cogwheel icon.

NB: you can add several presentation elements.

Add referents

The referents are contact points in your organisation.

To add referents, click on Add referents.

You can then choose which of the platform's users will be the main contacts.

To modify the referring contacts, click on the cogwheel icon associated with the item.

Publish an item of information to the front page

To publish an item of information, simply select the + button at the top right of the heading.

You must then fill in the same fields as those presented before in this article.

You'll also be able to modify or delete a publication or draft from the cogwheel icon.

NB: you can add several pieces of information to the front page. When several pieces of information are on the front page, you can select the position of this new content on the homepage from the Position heading in the list of your draft or from the cogwheel icon associated with the heading.

Publish an event

You need to fill in the same fields as those presented before.

To publish the event, you'll also need to fill in a date and time slot as well as the location of the event.

You will also be able to edit or delete a publication or draft from the cogwheel icon.

NB: you can add several events. When several events are recorded or published, you can select the position of this new content on the homepage from the Order heading in the list of your draft or from the cogwheel icon associated with the heading.

Activate the Highlighted publications section

The Homepage manager can display posts defined as important in the groups on the homepage.

To do so, he/she needs to activate the corresponding option.

If the option is enabled, then users will be able to access posts defined as important in their groups by the group administrators.

These users, by selecting See full post, will then be able to:

  • access important posts of all public groups (except for guests who are limited to groups they've been invited to)

  • access important posts of private groups they're members of,

  • access important posts o secret groups they're members of.

If a post is marked as important in a private group to which the user does not belong, then this post won't be displayed on their homepage. The user will have to become a member of the group for the post to appear, along with a See full post button.

If the section has not been activated by the homepage manager, then this section will not appear on the homepage of the platform users.

See the Home Page as a guest or member

Before publishing your homepage to all users, you can see it as Members or as Guests by clicking on the 3 vertical dots icon at the top right of the page.

Display drafts only

You can also view the homepage by displaying drafts only, if any, and thus check information that will not be visible to users.

Publish the Home Page for all users

To publish the homepage, activate the button section is hidden to see section is displayed.

The homepage then becomes visible to all users of the platform according to the fields entered in the Who can see this content? section.

NB: it still is necessary to be identified to the platform to access and see the homepage. This page is not public on the Internet.

Hide the Home Page for all users

To hide the homepage, disable the button section is displayed to show section is hidden.

The Home icon and the homepage are then no longer visible to users.

Who can read this article?

This article is for the homepage managers.

Who can manage and publish the homepage?

Only the managers of the homepage are allowed to manage and share content on it. The homepage managers are defined from the Administration by an administrator.

Can the homepage be managed and published on the Essential, Standard and Premium plans?

It is possible to manage and publish this homepage on both levels. The homepage is not available on the Essential plan.
