# Set up chat message editing

Platform administrators can set the parameters for editing chat messages:

* Enable or disable message editing
* If enabled, set the time allowed for modification before blocking.

To set up this option, go to :

**- Chat section**

Activate or deactivate the option according to your needs.

Once enabled, you can define the time allowed for modifying a chat message.

| When a message is modified, a “modified” message will appear in the conversation.
