# Enable / disable comments on your post in the newsfeed 

It’s now possible to **enable or disable comments** on your posts in the **newsfeed**.

Whether you're sharing an official update, an important message, or an announcement that doesn’t require discussion — **you’re in control**.

## Enable or disable comments on a published post

To enable or disable comments, click on the menu of your post, then choose **Enable comments** or **Disable comments**.

| If you disable comments on a post that already has comments, they will be archived. They won't be deleted. | You can display them again later by re-enabling comments on your post. |
