# Activating/deactivating the NewsFeed module

**This module is enabled by default on your platforms.**

To deactivate [the Newsfeed module](https://help.talkspirit.com/fr/articles/3571536-le-fil-d-actualites), go to Administration > Newsfeed and **select Disable Newsfeed.**

**⚠️ This action causes the NewsFeed menu to disappear for all platform users.**

You can turn it back on by choosing **Enable NewsFeed.**

**_✍🏻 The deactivation of the module leads to:_**

* _the impossibility of displaying the contributions shared by a user from his profile file,_
* inability to send [Newsletters](https://help.talkspirit.com/fr/articles/6245213-la-newsletter),
* the impossibility of [join an event](https://help.talkspirit.com/fr/articles/5435135-l-application-agenda#:~:text=sur%20cette%20r%C3%A9union.-,Partager%20l%27%C3%A9v%C3%A8nement%20dans%20le%20fil%20d%27actualit%C3%A9s,-Lors%20de%20la) to a publication,
* the impossibility of [attach a Drive document](https://help.talkspirit.com/fr/articles/1876168-attacher-des-fichiers-a-une-publication#:~:text=Attacher%20des%20fichiers%20depuis%20le%20Drive) to a publication,
* _Share a file in a publication from a chat room,_
* [integrations](https://help.talkspirit.com/fr/articles/1876156-integrer-des-services-web) such as RSS feeds are no longer available,
* the impossibility of [share media or url links in a post](https://help.talkspirit.com/fr/articles/5959393-partager-des-images-du-texte-et-des-urls-sur-l-application-mobile) via l’application mobile.
